FAST Head Coach And General Manager

Marci Callan is the Fairport Area Swim Team’s (FAST) Head Coach and General Manager.  She oversees the entire FAST swimming program.  In her tenure with Fairport Swimming, she has been a trailblazer for women in the sport of swimming from our area.  Callan has led club swimming in Fairport for 30 years.  In addition, she coaches the Fairport High School girls swim team as a varsity assistant, and co-coaches the boys and girls modified swim teams.  She has also had competitive experience in AAU swimming, diving, water polo and track.

Some of her coaching accomplishments include age group “Coach of the Year” awards from the American Swim Coaches Association (ASCA) as well as the “Excellence in Coaching Stroke Technique” award.  In addition, Callan has also been recognized as “Coach of the Year” for the Niagara District for a number one nationally-ranked USA Swimming relay that also broke a national record.

Callan’s goals are to continue to be an advocate for athletes, while bringing expertise and knowledge from her current positions with USA Swimming back to the club.  She continues to bring new ideas and quality programs to the Fairport swimming community to educate athletes, parents, and coaches of all levels
